MILESTONE PROJECTS

Image
Here are the 3 milestone projects that I worked on this semester. It was a wild and fun ride and I'm glad that I got to learn a lot of useful skills that I will use in the future to make more stuff! Mesh Mashup: Ramen Ocean  Papercraft Object: WcDonalds Hollow Form 3D Print (Models and 3D Print): Gary the Demonic Snail

For this project, we were given the task to craft a self-supporting object using concept designs molded by the bend, twist, taper, and/or stretch tool. It was a great pleasure working with Jenna on this project! These are the 6 concepts that I came up with when playing around with Rhino using the loft, twist, taper, stretch, and bend tools.  We have decided to incorporate Jenna's octagonal tubes with my snail-like design.   To help us visualize the final product, we drew some concept sketches.  We ran into some issues in the simulation phase before printing so we had to trim some parts. This is what it looks like before printing.  The final product is a fusion between the arcs and tube-like structures from our original concepts.
