Papercraft Objects: First Prototype


For this project, I have decided to work towards a drink cup to reminisce all the times I went out drinking (I don't drink alcohol) with my friends. In the final, I would like to add a logo and another element to complement the cup. 



First, I start of with a completed form in Rhino. 



Next I unroll the individual components that I will use in the prototype which includes the cup base and lid but the straw (similar form to the base) will be in the final creation.


Finally before printing, I set it to PDF mode. 




Here is what it looks like after cutting, scoring, and folding.



Now here is the prototype after gluing.

Ramen Ocean - Mesh Editing & HD Renders

Exploring A Newfound Sea Although it took quite some time to grow accustomed to Rhino, I still tried to implement the feedback I received from my experience with Tinkercad. I was recommended to focus on aligning the elements in an orderly fashion to harmonize the composition. The noodles had to be selected separately, so in order to fix that, I used the MeshBooleanUnion command to tell the system that all the noodles are one unit. I used the water plaster material and set it to custom for the broth. In addition, I made sure there was some transparency to reveal a bit of what’s underneath. Time to Get Whacky with Mashups

Concept Generation  In this phase of the Mesh Mashup project, we are tasked to incorporate remix culture, or better known as, read/write culture. This method of creation allows us to generate new works by fusing original ideas and materials, which could transform anything normal into a silly mess, hopefully in a good way.  Degrading Environment  When I think of how we might accidently spill water, it reminds me of the larger accidents we cause.
